Annual Events

Every year, Vanguard hosts two fund-raising events.

Annual Benefit Dinner

The first, which started in 1995, is an Annual Benefit Dinner with Live Entertainment, dancing, great food and a silent auction for items and services donated by our generous supporters. This annual event is hosted by John Stamos and Loretta Phillips Stamos and "put together" by all of the Vanguard Board of Directors, Committee Members and too many volunteers to list...

Each year's event has a different "theme" such as "An Evening in Brazil" in 1995, "Jump, Jive & Wail" in 2000 and "Come To The Cabaret" in 2002. These events have raised hundreds of thousands of dollars to directly support the Vanguard mission.

Bill Stamos Golf Classic

The second event is the "Bill Stamos Golf Classic" in honor of Loretta's husband Bill Stamos. This event began in 2002 to increase Vanguard's annual fund-raising efforts and to remember Bill Stamos enjoying one of his favorite past-times.... Golf!
